Dharma Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a 5,000+ year old health tradition. Modern researchers have verified its countless benefits. As a practitioner I enjoy witnessing the somatic response of balance within a patient's body. Through proper diagnosis and treatment your body's natural healing mechanisms function properly, producing a tangible state of deep peace and relaxation. As reported by patients, regular treatments produce side effects that include better sleep, being less aggravated, driving more calmly, and an overall sense of wellbeing.
Currently I am practicing mostly 5 Element and Esoteric Acupuncture which focuses on prevention, finer tuning of energy, balancing within the chakra systems, and regular wellness treatments. I still welcome those struggling with painful injuries and other acute or chronic health issues. Learn more about additional services below.
I had the unique opportunity to train directly with Dr Richard Tan OMD, L.Ac. in his clinic and through several trainings where I mastered the Balance Method. I have had several teachers along my way including Lonny Jarrett L.Ac., and have a lot of experience working with obstetrics, oncology, and orthopedics using TCM, Japanese, and 5 Element acupuncture.
Dharma in Action
A part of my practice is to donate my time, expertise, and energy towards underserved members in our community which I have done throughout my 16 years in practice. This creates an inherent balance for me as a practitioner and within humanity. As of September 2023 Dharma Acupuncture and Functional Medicine operates and is registered as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
Most recently I helped with the Grass Valley, CA Kiwanis Club, and held community-style acupuncture sessions to assist evacuation victims of the Oroville Damm disaster, and various wildfire evacuations in CA which became too many to name.
